	* gdb.base/watchpoints.exp: Add test for setting software
	watchpoints of different types before starting the inferior.

50b34a18ed fix for PR gdb/15995 
This patch fixes PR gdb/15995.

The bug here is that gdb's printf command does not flush the output
stream.  This makes a printf that is not newline-terminated interleave
incorrectly with other forms of output, such as that generated via a
call to an external program using "shell".

I note that the "output" command already does this flushing.

The fix is to call gdb_flush in printf_command.

Built and regtested on x86-64 Fedora 18.
New test case included.

7c647d6155 warn if "source" fails to open the file when from_tty == 0 
Consider the following example:

    % gdb -q -batch -ex 'source nonexistant-file'
    [nothing]

One would have at least expected the debugger to warn about
not finding the file, similar to the error shown when using
a more interactive mode. Eg:

    (gdb) source nonexistant-file
    nonexistant-file: No such file or directory.

Not raising an error appears to be intentional, presumably in order
to prevent this situation from stoping the execution of a GDB script.
But the lack of at least a warning makes it harder for a user to
diagnose any issue, if the file was expected to be there and readable.

This patch adds a warning in that case:

    % gdb -q -batch -ex 'source nonexistant-file'
    warning: nonexistant-file: No such file or directory.

eb4ca471aa Uniquefy gdb.base/catch-syscall.exp test names. 
catch-syscall.exp has a series of duplicated output in gdb.sum.  This
patch makes sure all test names are unique, using with_test_prefix.

Tested on x86_64 Fedora 17.

0c5571793a This patch adds a new convenience variable called "$_exitsignal", which 
will hold the signal number when the inferior terminates due to the
uncaught signal.

I've made modifications on infrun.c:handle_inferior_event such that
$_exitcode gets cleared when the inferior signalled, and vice-versa.
This assumption was made because the variables are mutually
exclusive, i.e., when the inferior terminates because of an uncaught
signal it is not possible for it to return.  I have also made modifications
such that when a corefile is loaded, $_exitsignal gets set to the uncaught
signal that "killed" the inferior, and $_exitcode is cleared.

The patch also adds a NEWS entry, documentation bits, and a testcase.  The
documentation entry explains how to use $_exitsignal and $_exitcode in a
GDB script, by making use of the new $_isvoid convenience function.

This patch adds a new convenience function called $_isvoid, whose
only purpose is to check whether an expression is void or not.
This became necessary because the new convenience variable
$_exitsignal (not yet approved) has a mutual exclusive behavior
with $_exitcode, i.e., when one is "defined" (i.e., non-void),
the other is cleared (i.e., becomes void).  Doug wanted a way to
identify which variable to use, and checking for voidness is the
obvious solution.

It is worth mentioning that my first attempt, after a conversation with
Doug, was to actually implement a new $_isdefined() convenience
function.  I would do that (for convenience variables) by calling
lookup_only_internalvar.  However, I found a few problems:

- Whenever I called $_isdefined ($variable), $variable became defined
  (with a void value), and $_isdefined always returned true.

- Then, I tried to implement $_isdefined ("variable"), and do the "$" +
  "variable" inside GDB, thus making it impossible for GDB to create the
  convenience variable.  However, it was hard to extract the string
  without having to mess with values and their idiossincrasies.
  Therefore, I decided to abandon this attempt (specially because I
  didn't want to spend too much time struggling with it).

Anyway, after talking to Doug again we decided that it would be easier
to implement $_isvoid, and this will probably help in cases like
<http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3744554/testing-if-a-gdb-convenience-variable-is-defined>.

I wrote a NEWS entry for it, and some new lines on the documentation.

9295cf6f8e test: adjust 'cd' regexpr to match an optional canonically pathname 
New regexpr now correctly deals with trailing canonical pathname.

Before only the following output was matched:

In addition it now matches an optional trailing canonical pathname:
(gdb) cd
Working directory /users/foo
 (canonically /nfs/users/foo).

9f94866008 [Committing the `catch syscall' patch for ARM, from Samuel Bronson.] 
This time, it passes all the tests and comes with a nearly complete
XML file (plus a script that can nearly regenerate the XML file).

(I elected to leave out __ARM_NR_cmpxchg, since it has dire warnings
to the effect that the only pieces of code that should be aware of it
are the implementation and the __kuser_cmpxchg code in entry-armv.S.)

bf6d8a91ea use language of the main symbol 
With "dwz -m", "main" appears in both the PU and the importing CU when
running anon-struct.exp.  However, the PU does not have a file name.
So, find_main_filename returns the empty string, making
deduce_language_from_filename return language_unknown.

This patch fixes this problem by changing gdb to use the ordinary
symbol-lookup functions to find "main"'s symbol.  Then, it examines the
symbol's language.

I think this is cleaner than the current approach.  For one thing it
avoids trying to guess the language based on the source file name,
instead deferring to the presumably more reliable debuginfo.

Another possible fix would have been to change how the file name is
found via the "qf" methods.  However, I think the approach given is
preferable for the reason outlined above.

This required a minor test suite change, as now a symtab is expanded
during the search for "main".

Built and regtested (both ways) on x86-64 Fedora 18.

3a1115a0cc fix PR symtab/15719 
This patch fixes PR symtab/15719.

The bug is that "watch -location" crashes on a certain expression.

The problem is that fetch_subexp_value is catching an exception.
For ordinary watchpoints this is ok; but for location watchpoints,
it is better for the exception to propagate.

Built and regtested on x86-64 Fedora 18.
New test case included.

6f64ef53c0 GDB kills itself instead of interrupting inferior 
When GDB is run with IO redirected to a pipe, the 'interrupt' command
causes it to kill its own process group instead of the inferior's.
The problem manifests itself in async mode, native debugging:

    $ cat | gdb <file>
    (gdb) set target-async on
    (gdb) run &
    (gdb) interrupt
    A debugging session is active.
    Inferior 1 [process 20584] will be killed.
    Quit anyway? (y or n) [answered Y; input not from terminal]

In this case, GDB tells that its stdin isn't a tty and doesn't save
the inferior's process group in
inflow.c:terminal_init_inferior_with_pgrp.  The 'interrupt' command
tries to 'kill' the inferior's process group in
`inf-ptrace.c:inf_ptrace_stop`, but since that wasn't saved in the
first place, GDB kills process group 0, meaning, its own process
group.

When GDB is used from a frontend, that means killing its own process
group including the frontend and possibly the X session.  This was
originally seen with SublimeGDB:
  https://github.com/quarnster/SublimeGDB/issues/29.

The patch makes GDB save the inferior pgid regardless of having a
terminal, as pgid is used not only to reset foreground process group,
but also to interrupt the inferior process.  It also adds a regression
test.  Luckily, we can emulate not having a terminal with "set
interactive-mode off", avoiding the need of special magic to spawn gdb
with a pipe.

Tested on x86_64 Fedora 17.

disp-step-syscall.exp is not run for ARM targets because ARM syscall
instructions have not been added to the list of possible syscall

427cd150ee Fix PR cli/15603 
This fixes PR cli/15603.

The bug here is that when a software watchpoint is being used, gdb
will stop responding to C-c.  This is a regression caused by the
"catch signal" patch.

The problem is that software watchpoints always end up on the bpstat
list.  However, this makes bpstat_explains_signal return
BPSTAT_SIGNAL_HIDE, causing infrun to think that the signal is not a
"random signal".

The fix is to change bpstat_explains_signal to handle this better.  I
chose to do it in a "clean API" way, by passing the signal value to
bpstat_explains_signal and then adding an explains_signal method for
watchpoints, which handles the specifics.

Built and regtested on x86-64 Fedora 18.
New test case included.

	* break-catch-sig.c (signal_catchpoint_explains_signal): Add 'sig'
	argument.
	* breakpoint.c (bpstat_explains_signal): Add 'sig' argument.
	Special case signals other than GDB_SIGNAL_TRAP.
	(explains_signal_watchpoint): New function.
	(base_breakpoint_explains_signal): Add 'sig' argument.
	(initialize_breakpoint_ops): Set 'explains_signal' method for
	watchpoints.
	* breakpoint.h (struct breakpoint_ops) <explains_signal>: Add
	signal argument.
	(bpstat_explains_signal): Likewise.
	* infrun.c (handle_syscall_event, handle_inferior_event): Update.

	* gdb.base/random-signal.c: New file.
	* gdb.base/random-signal.exp: New file.

6de7c271e1 testsuite/gdb.base: Make skip test use defined behaviour. 
The skip test currently relies on the order of evaluation of
arguments which is not defined. Use the comma operator where
order is defined instead.
