70afc5b72d Align behavior of xmethod commands with that of pretty-printer commands.
Currently, the xmethod commands lookup xmethod matchers in the current
progspace even if the locus regular expression matches the progspace's
filename.  Pretty printer commands do not match the current progspace's
filename.

gdb/

	* python/lib/gdb/command/xmethods.py
	(get_method_matchers_in_loci):  Lookup xmethod matchers in the
	current progspace only if the string "progspace" matches LOCUS_RE.

gdb/testsuite

	* gdb.python/py-xmethods.exp: Use "progspace" instead of the
	progspace's filename in 'info', 'enable' and 'disable' command
	tests.

346d1dfebd constify some blockvector APIs
Generally, the blockvector ought to be readonly.  So, this patch makes
the blockvector const in the symtab, and also changes various
blockvector APIs to be const.

This patch has a couple of spots that cast away const.  I consider
these to be ok because they occur in mdebugread and are used while
constructing the blockvector.  I have added comments at these spots.

3977b71f1d constify struct block in some places
This makes some spots in gdb, particularly general_symbol_info, use a
"const struct block", then fixes the fallout.

The justification is that, ordinarily, blocks ought to be readonly.
Note though that we can't add "const" in the blockvector due to block
relocation.  This can be done once blocks are made independent of the
program space.

827f100cee Iterate over 'struct varobj_item' instead of PyObject
In previous patch, "saved_item" is still a PyOjbect and iteration is
still performed over PyObject.  This patch continues to decouple
iteration from python code, so it changes its type to "struct
varobj_item *", so that the iterator itself is independent of python.

e525021603 Generalize varobj iterator
This patch generalizes varobj iterator, in a python-independent way.
Note varobj_item is still a typedef of PyObject, we can only focus on
API changes, and leave the data type changes to the next patch.  As a
result, we include "varobj-iter.h" after the typedef of PyObject in
varobj.c, but it is an intermediate state.  Finally, varobj-iter.h is
independent of PyObject.

This change is helpful to move some python-related code out of
varobj.c.

5a6c770930 Wrap PyObject_Get/HasAttrString in a function with second arg having const qualifier.
This is done to avoid errors when compiled with -Werror against Python-2.4
which did not have the const qualifier for the second argument of these
functions.

70e38b8e98 Rename frame_stop_reason_string to unwind_stop_reason_to_string.

This function is confusingly named, the "frame_" in the name implies it
somehow is frame dependent, when in reality the function just converts an
'enum unwind_stop_reason' value to a string.

45741a9c32 Add new infrun.h header.
Move infrun.c declarations out of inferior.h to a new infrun.h file.

Tested by building on:

 i686-w64-mingw32, enable-targets=all
 x86_64-linux, enable-targets=all
 i586-pc-msdosdjgpp

And also grepped the whole tree for each symbol moved to find where
infrun.h might be necessary.

The problem originates from the get_current_arch call in
py-progspace.c:py_free_pspace.  The inferior associated with the
pspace is gone, and the current inferior is a different one and is running.
Therefore get_current_arch tries to read the current frame which
causes reads of data in the current program space which we've just deleted.

	instead of get_current_arch.

7af389b892 [python] Fix gdb.Value.dynamic_type for reference values.
gdb.Value.dynamic_type is supposed to work for reference and pointer
values.  However, the value object in the function 'valpy_get_dynamic_type'
was being dereferenced using 'value_ind' irrespective of the value type
being TYPE_CODE_PTR or TYPE_CODE_REF.  This patch fixes that to use
'coerce_ref' for TYPE_CODE_REF values.

49840f2a66 Fix Python 2.4 build break
This fixes a build failure against Python 2.4 by casting away "const"
on the second argument to PyObject_GetAttrString.  Similar casts to
support Python 2.4 were already present in a number of other places.

efd66ac669 change minsym representation
In a later patch we're going to change the minimal symbol address
calculation to apply section offsets at the point of use.  To make it
simpler to catch potential problem spots, this patch changes the
representation of minimal symbols and introduces new
minimal-symbol-specific variants of the various accessors.  This is
necessary because it would be excessively ambitious to try to convert
all the symbol types at once.

The core of this change is just renaming a field in minimal_symbol;
the rest is just a fairly mechanical rewording.

1b58801583 [Python] Make regexp collection printers work with typedefs as well.
Consider the following type for which we would like to provide
a pretty-printer and manage it via RegexpCollectionPrettyPrinter:

        typedef long time_t;

Currently, this does not work because this framework only considers
the type's tag name:

        typename = gdb.types.get_basic_type(val.type).tag
        if not typename:
            return None

This patch extends it to use the type's name if the basic type
does not have a tag name, thus allowing the framework to also
work with typedefs like the above.

83b645b833 avoid python exception in FrameDecorator.py
This fixes a bug in FrameDecorator.py.

FrameVars seems to assume that Frame.block can return None if there is
no block.  However, it actually throws an exception.

I saw this bug while developing a frame filter, but unfortunately I
don't know how to reproduce it.  It seems to me that the SAL tests in
_is_limited_frame should exclude the bad cases; and in my attempts to
write a test they do.

Nevertheless I think the fix is reasonably obvious and ought to go in.

0740f8d82d fix erroneous error-handling in frame filter code
This fixes PR python/16487.

The bug here is that the function-name-handling code in py_print_frame
had a small logic error (really a misplaced closing brace).  This
error could lead to a Py_DECREF(NULL), which crashes.

This patch fixes the bug in the obvious way.

Built and regtested on x86-64 Fedora 18.  New test case included.

21909fa1c6 fix crash in frame filters
apply_frame_filter calls ensure_python_env before computing the
gdbarch to use.  This means that python_gdbarch can be NULL while in
Python code, and if a frame filter depends on this somehow (easy to
do), gdb will crash.

The fix is to compute the gdbarch first.

Built and regtested on x86-64 Fedora 18.
New test case included.

c0d4881122 [python] Add gdb.Type.name attribute.
Consider the following declarations:

    typedef long our_time_t;
    our_time_t current_time = 1384395743;

The purpose of this patch is to allow the use of a pretty-printer
for variables of type our_time_t.  Normally, pretty-printing sniffers
use the tag name in order to determine which, if any, pretty-printer
should be used. But in the case above, the tag name is not set, since
it does not apply to integral types.

This patch extends the gdb.Type list of attributes to also include
the name of the type, thus allowing the sniffer to match against
that name. With that change, I was able to write a pretty-printer
which displays our variable as follow:

    (gdb) print current_time
    $1 = Thu Nov 14 02:22:23 2013 (1384395743)

f23981e991 Eliminate UNSUPPORTED_ERROR.
I have a case that could use an exception for "unsupported feature".
I found UNSUPPORTED_ERROR, but looking deeper, I think as is, reusing
it for other things would be fragile.  E.g., if the Python script
sourced by source_script_from_stream triggers any other missing
functionality that would result in UNSUPPORTED_ERROR being propagated
out to source_script_from_stream, that would confuse the error for
Python not being built into GDB.

This patch thus redoes things a little.  Instead of using an exception
for the "No Python" scenario, check whether Python is configured in
before actually trying to source the file.  It adds a new function
instead of using #ifdef HAVE_PYTHON directly, as that is better at
avoiding bitrot, as both Python and !Python paths are visible to the
compiler this way.

Tested on Fedora 17, with and without Python.

5b2bf9471f Move .debug_gdb_script processing to auto-load.c.
Simplify handling of auto-loaded objfile scripts.

.debug_gdb_scripts was always intended to handle more than just python,
thus the rightful home for the code that processes it is not in py-foo.c.
This is just a cleanup to move the code to a better place.

This also simplifies the handling of the ${objfile}-${suffix} auto-loaded
scripts.  There's no need for each of the the handlers to do is-safe-to-load
checking, or call maybe_add_script.  Doing it in the caller removes the
duplication.

	* auto-load.h (script_language): New members name, auto_load_enabled.
	Add missing comments on struct members.
	(auto_load_objfile_script): Delete.
	* auto-load.c: #include "cli/cli-cmds.h".
	(auto_load_gdb_scripts_enabled): New function.
	(script_language_gdb): Update, add new members.

7c245c246c get rid of py-value.c:is_intlike (use is_integral_type instead)
is_intlike was mostly duplicating is_integral_type, with the exception
of the handling of TYPE_CODE_PTR when parameter PTR_OK is nonzero.
This patches deletes the is_intlike function, using is_integral_type
instead, and adjusting the two locations where this function gets
called.

The code should remain strictly equivalent.

gdb/ChangeLog:

        (valpy_int): Replace use of CHECK_TYPEDEF and is_intlike

Boundary length is simpler implemented by means of a pretty
printer. This simplifies users life when examining a bound register.

df7752b044 Fix int() builtin with range type gdb.Value objects.
Consider the following variable:

    type Small is range -128 .. 127;
    SR : Small := 48;

Trying to get its value as an integer within Python code yields:

    (gdb) python sr = gdb.parse_and_eval('sr')
    (gdb) python print int(sr)
    Traceback (most recent call last):
      File "<string>", line 1, in <module>
    gdb.error: Cannot convert value to int.
    Error while executing Python code.

This is happening because our variable is a range type, and
py-value's is_intlike does not handle TYPE_CODE_RANGE. This
patch fixes this.

918229560c off-by-one fix for py-linetable.c
While digging into a different memory corruption error, I happened to
notice one coming from the linetable code.  In a couple of spots, the
wrong termination condition was used in a loop, leading gdb to read
one element past the end of the linetable.

Built and regtested on x86-64 Fedora 18.  Also verified using
valgrind.  I'm checking this in.
