append -static to link-flags for *-*-freebsd*, *-*netbsd* and
*-*solaris2*. Remove commented out default settings for
asm-flags. Replace gdb_compile with target_link.

* lib/gdb.exp (get_compiler_info): Always call gdb_compile to
